Start from the story

The best journalist to pitch is the one who just wrote about your topic. EarnedDesk starts with the news, not a list of contacts. Each of your five daily ideas is tied to a real article, and the person who wrote it is shown next to the idea.

What you see for each journalist

• Their name, from the byline on the article
• The article that prompted the idea
• A LinkedIn or X link where the news source gives us one
• A search link where it doesn't

What we don't do

We don't share email addresses. We only point you to contact details the journalist has made public. Passing on personal emails without consent would breach their privacy. We also don't send anything for you.

Why it works better than a contact list

A list tells you who exists. It doesn't tell you who is writing about your topic today. Starting from the article means your pitch can refer to something the journalist actually published, which is what makes a pitch relevant.

An example

Say a story runs about rising costs for restaurants and you run a food supplier. EarnedDesk surfaces it as an idea, says whether it's a yes, and shows the reporter who wrote it. You check their recent work, draft a pitch with a point of view on supplier pricing, and send it yourself.
